I can't play Minecraft "nostalgicly" without the bright green grass, and maybe if others would like this, I could create a "texture pack" to give the old grass texture back, aswell as other block textures that've been replaced. I'm playing with the bright green grass in version a little after Alpha, and it looks pretty much the same.

It's an updated version, so I don't know how well it will work out, BUT, you can ask on skype and I'll give a texturepack file that matches your description  (Not mine though) *Edit why I think it might not work, is because texturepack formats have changed, just so yah know |
